Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN in New York
Bezawit serves as the Deputy Permanent Representative of ECB Sustainable Youth Foundation to the United Nations in New York, where she supports the Foundation’s engagement with the UN system, intergovernmental processes, and multilateral partnerships. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations at American University’s School of International Service, specializing in international negotiation and conflict resolution, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from St. John’s University. Her academic and professional interests span diplomacy, global governance, international law, conflict resolution, and political risk analysis, with a strong commitment to advancing equitable and sustainable solutions to global challenges. Beyond academia, Bezawit has contributed to political campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and community engagement efforts aimed at expanding civic participation and empowering underrepresented communities. Passionate about multilateral cooperation and inclusive policymaking, she is dedicated to strengthening international dialogue and translating policy into meaningful action for sustainable development and global peace.
