Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN in Nairobi

Timpiyian serves as the Deputy Permanent Representative of ECB Sustainable Youth Foundation to the United Nations in Nairobi, where she contributes to global environmental policymaking and strengthens meaningful youth engagement in multilateral processes. A Kenyan environmental and conservation specialist, she is currently pursuing studies in International Relations and is passionate about sustainable development, climate action, and youth leadership. She works with the Nayiari Community Initiative, an Indigenous non-governmental organization advancing the rights of women and children while building community resilience to climate change. In addition, she serves on the Board of Planet Plus, supporting environmental and social impact enterprises that promote sustainable solutions. Timpiyian has represented youth at numerous UNEP and United Nations conferences, advocating for inclusive, community-driven approaches to environmental challenges. Through her work across grassroots initiatives and international policy platforms, she is committed to ensuring that young people are recognized as active partners in shaping a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient future.
